• Fill containers to capacity and fill any extra space with packing material.
• Label every box so it's easily located, and place needed items in front of the unit.
• DO NOT use newsprint, as it will stain.
• Wipe dry any metal objects of oil and water to avoid rusting.
• Appliances should be clean and dry, and leave refrigerator/freezer doors open.
• Pack books flat, and elevate boxes with books to prevent moisture absorption.
• Stand sofas and mattresses on end on plastic sheet. Disassemble beds and tables, and wrap legs. Store chairs inverted seat-to-seat.
• Wrap lamp bases in padding, and pack in box if small. Pack lampshades in boxes.
•  Dishes and glassware boxes should have a padding layer on bottom and top, and each item should be wrapped.
